Role: Designer, illustrator • Publication: Minneapolis Star Tribune

The front page has a visual aesthetic all it’s own, balancing top news of the day whether that be in Minneapolis, across the U.S., or national topics abroad. This role is one of the most collaborative in the newsroom, with a changing daily team of copy, photo, news, social, and digital editors. Combining expertise to create a the best possible product every night was my favorite part of the role. While most of my role focused on the cover page, I also designed covers across sections.
